State Parks, Historic Sites, and Museums need your help.

Throughout the country, state parks, historic sites, homes, buildings, museums, and similar institutions are struggling to continue operating. Because of general financial problems, many of these institutions are operating on a reduced schedule or in danger of closing. Some are being forced to sell off artifacts and property. Many will not weather these hard times without your help.

Places Earth urges everyone to support these vital and important public resources any way you can. Please donate your treasure, time, and talent. Write to your governor and other elected officials telling them to find a way to keep state parks open. It will be your loss.

Peanut Farm Sports Bar & Grill / Sourdough Mining Company / Alaska Wild Berry Park is a complex of three separate businesses that compliment one another and cooperate to make a unified entertainment center. Located only ten miles from Anchorage Airport, there is a shuttle service to take you from your hotel to this complex and then to the airport, with storage provisions for your luggage. It makes a wonderful final stop on your visit to Anchorage. Located on the south side of Airport Road and on the east side of Old Steward Highway, enter the Wild Berry Park and Sourdough Mining Company from Airport Road.
Peanut Farm Sports Bar & Grill is a sports bar with food, a garden with live salmon, huge TVs, games, and other activities.
Sourdough Mining Company is a family style restaurant with other entertainments, and don't miss the Korn Fritters.
Alaska Wild Berry Park includes the Wild Berry Candy Kitchen and gift shop with what is reported to be the worlds largest chocolate fall, live Reindeer with photo op, Wild Berry Theater, and themed environment.
