State Parks, Historic Sites, and Museums need your help.

Throughout the country, state parks, historic sites, homes, buildings, museums, and similar institutions are struggling to continue operating. Because of general financial problems, many of these institutions are operating on a reduced schedule or in danger of closing. Some are being forced to sell off artifacts and property. Many will not weather these hard times without your help.

Places Earth urges everyone to support these vital and important public resources any way you can. Please donate your treasure, time, and talent. Write to your governor and other elected officials telling them to find a way to keep state parks open. It will be your loss.

The City of Felicity was founded in May 11, 1986 and lies at the southeast corner of California in Imperial County. It was named for Felicia Lee, wife of Jacques-Andre, and believed to be the first town in America named for a Chinese woman. Jacques-Andre became the first mayor of Felicity in a close 2 to 0 election. Jacques-Andre convinced Imperial County, California, to legally recognize a spot on his property as the official Center of the World with the Institut Geographique National of France also recognizing it s the center.

The town is slowly developing around a master plan that places a pyrapid over the center of the Earth, a church on a hill, and a large array of granite walls etched with the important elements of world history. Inside the pyramid is a time capsule and a plaque.

The entrance is marked with a 25 foot high section number 12 of the original stairway of the Eiffel Tower. The free-standing stair serves no purpose. Twenty sections of the stairs of the tower were sold at auction on 1 December 1983.

The Hill of Prayer was created from 150,000 tons of earth trucked in. The Church is modeled after a church atop Mont St. Michel in Brittany.

The World Commemorative Center is a series of two-inch-thick granite walls, long, two-sided wedges, arrayed across the desert. Andre is having inscribed everything that he thinks is worth telling future generations and they are expected to last 4,000 years.

A Sundial has a three-dimensional bronze of Michelangelo's Arm of God as painted on the Sistine Chapel ceiling.
