Throughout the country, important historic sites, homes, buildings, and museums are in trouble. Because of the recent rise in gasoline prices and the general world-wide financial collapse, historic sites and museums are in danger of closing. Some are being forced to sell off artifacts and property. Most operate on a thin margin and will not weather these hard times without your help.

The Beverly and Jim Rogers Museum of Lone Pine Film History

Lone Pine has long been a popular location for Hollywood. The unusual rocks of the Alabama Hills just west of town and the spectacular Sierra Nevada Mountains further west have drawn filmakers for almost a hundred years. Westerns were the most popular, but science fiction and other subjects have also filmed here.

The museum is easily found along Highway 395 in the heart of the town of Lone Pine.
