Lone Pine has long been a popular location for Hollywood. The unusual rocks of the Alabama Hills just west of town and the spectacular Sierra Nevada Mountains further west have drawn filmakers for almost a hundred years. Westerns were the most popular, but science fiction and other subjects have also filmed here. The museum is easily found along Highway 395 in the heart of the town of Lone Pine. |
